copyright-update software package provides update copyright information in files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install copyright-update
copyright-update is installed in your system.
Make ensure the copyright-update package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep copyright-update *
You will get with copyright-update package name, version, architecture and description in a table
